Ask the guide the names of the tigers you spot. You will be delighted to come across males like Charger, Sita or Blue Eyes and females named Rajbehra, Mirchaini, or Damdama.

 

A tiger’s presence is announced by birds and monkeys. At Bandhavgarh, a variety of birds, small and big ones, fly around gracefully or sit comfortably hidden by the leaves. Be on the lookout for the common kingfisher, Indian roller, Rufous treepie, Honey buzzard, Great tit, Tailorbird, Purple sunbird, as they tweet their way into your heart and give you something to tweet about later.
